Renovation of an educational facility in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

1. Remove and Abate existing gym flooring and mastic including asbestos containing building materials ACBM's meeting all local, state, and federal guidelines. 2. All ACBM materials to be removed by an accredited abatement contractor with design, removal, transportation, and disposal documentation. (Existing floor tile at RJR, Glenn, and North Forsyth known to contain ACBM) (Existing mastic at RJR, Glenn, and North Forsyth known to contain ACBM) 3. Disconnect and reconnect all existing bleachers. WS/FCS will need to have bleachers inspected and signed off on after completion. 2. Prepare substrate for application of rubber flooring. 3. Provide and install minimum 6+2 full cover rubber flooring with a 6 mm minimum underlayment with a 2 mm minimum urethane coat. 4. Provide painted game lines for main basketball, main volleyball, and side basketball 5. Install new cove base, transition doorways and volleyball cover plates 6. This is a turn-key project which must be completed October 1, 2023 The successful bidder on any work for the Board Of Education requiring the estimated expenditure of public money in an amount to or in excess of $150,000.00 shall furnish bonds as required by Article 3 of Chapter 44A of the N.C.G.S. or a deposit of money, certified check or government securities for the full amount of the contract to secure the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all sums due for labor and materials Performance Bond or Payment Bond required as stated in Board Policy 7421 Public Contracts for Construction and other work Bonding and Security Requirements.
