The Western Virginia Water Authority (hereinafter referred to as the Authority) is requesting pre-qualification and sealed bids for bulk chemicals at five (5) Water Treatment Facilities. Emailed and faxed documents will not be accepted for the initial pre-qualification and bid process (the documents due in July). The Authority recognizes that the price of chemicals can fluctuate greatly with the economy. Therefore, the Authority is not requiring that an annual price be bid on any particular chemical. The Authority is going to pre-qualify vendors based upon documentation that it can meet the specification required for each chemical and can meet the delivery times and special instructions. The schedule for fiscal year 2024 is as follows: One (1) Addendum will be issued by COB on June 1, 2023. Please submit all questions by 2:00 P.M. on May 25, 2023. Email questions to jamie.morris@westernvawater.org Bids for First Period Due on June 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM (must be sealed) First Six Months: July 1st - December 31st Bids for Second Period Due on December 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM (can be mailed or e-mailed) Second Six Months: January 1st - June 30th One (1) Addendum will be issued by COB on June 1, 2023. Please submit all questions by 2:00 P.M. on May 25, 2023. Spring Hollow, Carvins Cove, Crystal Spring,Muse Spring and Boones Mill Water Treatment Facilities for the period of July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024.The contract period for qualified bidders will be six (6) months for all chemicals. The Authority reserves the right to renew the contract for up to six (6) bid cycles, three (3) years total, without the need to pre-qualify again. The Authority shall provide the mechanism for the evaluation of all information received and the final determination of responsible offertory. The Authority reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids. The Authority reserves the right to procure from State Contracts when it is determined that these contracts are in the best interest of the Authority.
