Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
The project consists of a new recreation center at 1600 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50309. The overall scope includes an approximately 40,000 sf building consisting of a new pool, gymnasium, fitness area, community support spaces, sitework, geothermal HVAC system, site improvements and demolition of the existing Grubb YMCA building. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2024 with substantial completion scheduled for the spring of 2026. The project construction budget is $21,750,000. All questions regarding the Statement of Qualifications are due before 3:00 P.M. on June 10, 2024.
