Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Tulita, Northwest Territories. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Dehk'e Frank channel bridge replacement. The new bridge will be about 200-metres long with lanes in each direction and a separate path for pedestrians and cyclists. TIMELINES: The design and construction contracts were awarded to the Tli?cho–Kiewit General Partnership (TKGP). A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Behchoko` on October 24, 2025, to mark the start of the project. After the new bridge opens to traffic in fall 2027, the existing one will be removed by fall 2028.
