As of November 20, 2024, this project is being designed in house. It should be put out for bid in early 2025. This project includes general roadway rehabilitation and roadway mill and overlay based on estimated need for typical roadway resurfacing for a portion of Dixie Ranch Road. Project will require approximately 9,522 feet of Dixie Ranch Rd. to undergo a 2" mill, 2" overlay, and patching from LA-434 to approximately 40 feet past Richards Road. The project will provide an improved road surface that will be safer to travel while increasing the life of the road and reducing the cost of required maintenance. Budget year provided in financial summary is based upon current road condition as evaluated by Department of Engineering staff. As typical for standard rehabilitation projects, engineering services will be performed by the Department of Engineering with only construction funds needed to complete work. In-house engineering design services for this project is scheduled for FY 2023. As of September 26, 2024, construction on this project is expected to begin in either late 2024 or early 2025.
