Through this Request for Proposal ("RFP") the Waterbury Development Corporation ("WDC"), with the permission of the City of Waterbury (the "City"), is seeking a qualified construction firm (the "contractor" or "proposer") to purchase for the Hamilton Park Roadway closure and associated detour all roadway construction signage and sign supports, portable changeable message boards, sand barrel systems, and precast concrete barrier curbs as noted per plan (the "Project"). Included in this RFP is the setup, installation, maintenance, and breakdown of the detour signage and road closure pattern. The City will retain ownership of the purchased material upon the Project's conclusion. There are several components to this RPF: Part 1- purchasing and furnishing of all materials per plan and equipment list which will be owned by the City; Part 2 - the installation of materials per the roadway detour and closure plan; Part 3 - periodic maintenance of the roadway detour and closure; and Part 4 - breakdown of the detour and delivery of signs and barricades, etc. to the DPWyard. Bid Bond -Applicable Each Proposal shall be submitted be accompanied by a Proposal Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Proposal Price Performance/Payment Bonds -Applicable The successful proposer must furnish to the WDC, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000.00, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the WDC. In the WDC's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the woe. Prospective proposers must limit their contact regarding this RFP to the Purchasing Director or such other person otherwise designated by the Purchasing Director. Responses to questions submitted by the above date or identified at any Information Session to be held regarding this RFP, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the City of Waterbury ProcureWare website by July 5, 2023, 2:00 PM.
