The purpose of this project will be to upsize and modernize the existing generator and its associated emergency power distribution system to meet future emergency power demands. The associated emergency power distribution system shall be modernized and replaced with new accordingly and currently consists of an existing emergency MCC (EMCC), two (2) existing ATS's, and a fire pump controller. The existing Square D normal power MCC is to be replaced as well as part of the scope of work in this RFP. Contractor will be responsible (but not limited) for: - Demolition of the existing indoor standby diesel generator and associated gear. - Supply and installation of a new outdoor standby diesel generator. This includes associated civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural works (i.e exhaust, fencing, pad, etc.). - The new standby generator shall be integrated into the Waldron Tower BAS system. - Replacement of various electrical equipment as identified in the contract documents. - Provide temporary rental generator during power shutdowns and rental standby generator for the building if the new generator delivery is delayed as identified in the contract documents. - Removal of existing emergency battery lighting units and re-circuiting, as indicated, to power existing emergency light fixtures from the new standby generator. - Abatement as required. - Co-ordination with Utilities Kingston for install and tie-in of new gas service. - Application and acquisition of any and all permits required to complete scope.
