Site work and renovation of a civil project in Monroe, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of April 16, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The Project consists of a high service pump station at the Yadkin WTP and approximately 39,400 LF of water transmission main extending from the new pump station to the intersection of US Highway 74 and South Forest Hills School Road (SR-1754). As provided by statute, a deposit of cash, cashier's check or certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit insurance Company, or a bid bond executed by corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid. The payee shall be "Union County". Said deposit shall guarantee that the Agreement will be entered into by the successful bidder if award is made. Such deposit may be held by Union County until the successful bidder has executed and delivered all required Contract documents to Union County. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Procurement contact person listed on the cover page (Vicky.Watts@unioncountync.gov). Deadline for questions is January 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM local time. Questions will be addressed via Addenda no later than 4 days prior to bid date. Bids will be received for a single prime. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner further reserves the right to reject the Bid and Bidder whom they find, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. Owner may also reject the Bid and Bidder if the Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities and technicalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate, as allowed by law, contract terms with the Successful Bidder. This Section describes the project in general and provides an overview of the extent of the Work to be performed under this Contract. Detailed requirements and extent of Work is stated in the applicable Specification and shown on the Plans. 2. The Contractor shall, except as otherwise specifically stated herein or in any applicable parts of the Contract Documents, provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment, and other facilities and services necessary for proper execution, testing, and completion of the Work under this Contract. Work Location 1. The dedicated 762 Pressure Zone (PZ) High Service Pump Station (HSPS) is located at the Yadkins River Water Treatment Plant (YRWTP) owned by Union County. The Treatment Plant is located at 3522 New Salem Road, Monroe County, NC 28110. 2. The associated 24" water transmission main commences at the HSPS site, exits the YRWTP site onto Lawyers Road, and follows Mills Harris Road, Austin Grove Church Road, and Forest Hills School Road before connection to an existing 16" main across Highway 74. This project consists of two components: 1. Construction of approximately 39,400 linear feet of 24-inch transmission main to connect the 762 PZ HSPS at the YRWTP to an existing 16-inch transmission main along Highway 74 near Marshville. 2. Construction of a dedicated HSPS and associated finished water within the YRWTP site to supply the transmission main.
