Demolition, site work and addition to a conference / convention center in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a conference / convention center; for the demolition of a conference / convention center; and for site work for a conference / convention center.
To increase capacity, a significant portion of the new convention center will be constructed underground, reaching depths of up to 65 feet below street level. New buildings planned include a 30-story tower reaching approximately 320 feet in height. *As of August 21, 2025, project is under construction. Construction began in April 2025 following the closure of the existing facility and is scheduled to be completed in late 2028. The center will reopen in time for the 2029 Spring Festival season. There will be 3 more Bid Solicitations scheduled to go out for this project: December 2025, April 2026 & November 2026.
