Renovation of a military facility in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Building 1283 NEX HVAC System Repairs (Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island Naval Station Newport has a requirement to replace a dual gas-fired furnace with a direct expansion (DX) cooling coil in Building 1283. There is also a requirement to replace the accompanying air conditioning condensing unit. Both heat exchangers are compromised in such a way as to not allow the furnace to provide heat to the building. The cooling system is still operational, but the entire system is well over 30 years old and should be replaced. The existing gas fired furnace is beyond repair.
