The Unincorporated Areas in Hinds County Residential Waste Collection, with Option for Recycling Services Contract Beginning July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2029, with an option to renew an additional 4 years ending June 30, 2033.. To be considered for selection, responses must be received by Hinds County on or before the date and time specified. Proposals received after the stated time shall not be considered. Electronic proposals shall be submitted in PDF format via email to Administrator Kenny Wayne Jones at kwjones@co.hinds.ms.us, with The Respondent's firm name in the subject line along with: "Responding to Request for Proposals (RFP: Residential Solid Waste Collections and Disposal)." Any Response package submitted by any Vendors/Suppliers which fails to conform to the essential requirements of the specifications, will be rejected. In discretionary cases, the Hinds County Board of Supervisors shall be the determining factor in whether specifications are met. Specification Response Packages must be answered completely. BID BOND: A certified check or bid bond will be required in this project. If issued by a surety company they need to provide the ability to do business in the State of Mississippi. If the Vendor issues a certified check, the minimum amount required will be $25,000.00 and made payable to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors. Upon the award of the contract, the Bid Bond must be converted to a Performance Bond payable to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors in the amount to be calculated at a rate equal to the one hundred twenty (120) day amount of the contract and shall be renewed annually. THE HINDS COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ALL BIDS. THE HINDS COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT BIDS BASED ON THE TOTAL EVALUATED BID. The Contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest and the best evaluated bid complying with the specifications. The awarding Vendor/Supplier will be required to provide the Hinds County Board of Supervisors a performance bond for the term of the work
