The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking competitive bids from contractors qualified to remove and replace existing electric motor at the Iowa DOT's Ames Facility located at 800 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA, Building 3A11 (Hub at Oak & Grand). All work to be done during normal business hours 6:30am-4:00pm Mon- Fri. After hours are available with prior approval. Shut done all mechanical equipment prior to starting and use lock-out tagout procedure. Isolate, drain, remove, and dispose Provide and install new parts to match existing capacity with like equipment or equal. Provide laser alignment before project completion. Start and test operation when work is complete. Any additional items or parts found defective need approval prior to completing.
