Haynes Street, Sandersville, GA 31082, tfort@Sandersvillega.org SCOPE OF WORK AND SPECIFICATIONS GENERAL 1. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, parts, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, engineering, and facilities necessary to locate, inspect, repair and/or replace fire hydrants and hydrant valves within the City of Sandersville. The City of Sandersville (Public Works) will monitor daily work activities and/or budgetary items with perspective Contractor. 2. The Contractor shall maintain normal business hours (Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm). 3. The Contractor shall provide traffic control devices as acceptable in the current MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) and adequate staff to route traffic when required in the performance of work. 4. Contractor will evaluate each hydrant and hydrant valve on the list to determine if the hydrant and/or valve can be repaired. 5. If hydrant and/or valve can be repaired, contractor must document the cost of repair and present a written change order to the City (Public Works) prior to commencing work. 6. After City has reviewed documentation, City may choose to direct Contractor to repair hydrant and/or valve. A substitute hydrant and/or valve may be added to the list by the City (Public Works) for replacement as a part of the change order. 7. All fire hydrants and hydrant valves shall be inspected and approved by the City's Water Superintendent after all work has been performed. In addition, fire hydrant or hydrant valve work performance shall be verified prior to submittal of invoices for payment.
