The Owner or any of its employees will not be responsible for any unmarked bids opened prior to the above date. There will not be a pre-bid meeting. Questions shall be submitted in writing to Jill Fratto, Purchasing Director, at Jill.Fratto@k12.wv.us. Questions shall be received by 10:00 a.m., May 25, 2023, to receive an answer. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to 5% of the bid. The successful bidder shall submit a Performance and Material Bond within ten (10) calendar days of award notification. Failure to submit a Performance Bond nullifies the Bid. The successful bidder shall ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of a bidder, to waive all informalities in the bidding process to the extent permitted by law, to reject any or all bids, and to make selections from the bids that are solely in the best interest of the Owner. Pursuant to Chapter 21- Article 11 of the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State. The Contractors WV License number shall be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction contracts and agreements.
