Reference Number 0000248241 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/06/05 04:00:00 PM EDT Onsite Visit 2023/06/01 10:00:00 AM EDT Contact Information Procurement Services 613-345-0660 ext. 3132 SLCBid@sl.on.ca Description This project will involve the supply and installation of a clean agent fire suppression system that will address the lack of fire suppression in the space, while protecting the safety of the IT/Server room equipment in the event of a fire and subsequent suppression system activation. This area of work is the IT Data Centre, which has two offices that are accessed (only) by entering the data room and through doors to the 2 small offices. As this would create a problem for the Clean Agent Fire Suppression system, in that in the event of an emergency, the occupants can’t exit into the corridor without entering the data room where the clean agent has been discharged, we need to remove those doors and seal up the wall. New doors to the corridor will be required in openings previously used for doors and since infilled with glazing. For photos of the infilled doors and the data room space see Appendix-Photographs. Work is to commence as soon as possible upon award, and is to be completed no later than August 31st, 2023. Refer to Schedule 1A-Scope of Work to the Draft Agreement and Appendix-Plans & Specifications Uyir Engineering for further details.
