The City of New Richmond is seeking Proposals to design, provide all materials and equipment, and to perform the work required to rehabilitate the Casey Lift Station. The intent of this project is to replace existing equipment and appurtenant items at an existing sanitary lift station located within the City. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit bids from interested contractors to complete the entire project. The City of New Richmond reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City of New Richmond will reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. If Bidder purports to add terms or conditions to its Bid, takes exception to any provision of the Contract Documents, or attempts to alter the contents of the Contract Documents for purposes of the Bid, then the City of New Richmond will reject the Bid as nonresponsive. The City of New Richmond also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder. PROJECT SCOPE The City of New Richmond seeks a firm to provide the following scope of work. The following scope provides a summary of the work to be completed: (Contractor shall be responsible for complete list of tasks to complete the project) Lift Station Rehab Demolition o Remove all equipment and materials slated to be replaced. o Shall be contractor's responsibility for disposal of replaced items. Pumps o Provide: Two (2) KSB KRT F80-250 submersible pumps or approved equal. Pumps shall be 230V/3PH Pumps shall produce approximately 400 GPM @ 30' TDH. Supply 50-feet of power cord Stainless steel lifting chain Over-temp/seal fail built into pump Vortex impeller Stainless steel lifting handle Inverter duty explosion-proof motor Double mechanical seals Controls o NEMA 3R duplex stainless steel control panel with 18" legs and skirts to control the above specified pumps. Include main breaker, emergency breaker VFD's for phase conversion and speed control Generator receptacle (coordinate with City for proper receptacle) Voltage monitor Lightning arrestor 1500 ct controller Back-up float controller Red alarm and alarm horn o Provide connection to existing City SCADA system o Contractor shall salvage and re-use existing pressure transducer and back-up floats. o Contractor will be responsible for electric connection by master electrician Station o Provide two (2) sets of stainless steel guide rails. o Provide new 4" base elbows o Replace approximately 11-feet of 4" DIP per discharge line o Install stainless steel deflection shield on incoming sewer line Startup o Provide startup and training o Confirm existing pump flowrates By City o City staff will provide for by-passing of the lift station
