Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Kamloops, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The Province is seeking to repair the cast-in-pace abutment of a 33m steel girder bridge (KV-005) spanning the West Kettle River. Repairs consist of structural concrete repairs to the right bank abutment of KV-005 and stabilization and protection of the right bank as per the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) provided by DWB Consulting and design drawings developed by Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. In addition to the structural repairs and slope stabilization, the contractor is expected to supply all materials listed in the Plan, including development, supply and transport of 1000Kg & 100Kg class riprap as per MoTI specifications either from the source identified by the Province or from an alternative, certified non-acid forming or metal leaching source which may include purchase from a quarry. It is possible we may require blending of rip rap from both sources. The attached design drawing set and condition assessment report provides an option to stabilize the bank with a retaining wall. They also show concrete repairs to the instream pier. These works were provided as an option and will not be a part of the works being bid on for this contract.
