Site work for a road / highway in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Estimated Construction Budget: $1,000,000.00 This project will be a complete upgrade to include a new entrance with access canopy on Bagby Street and new entry from Plaza of the existing Central Library. The renovation will include approximately 9,950 existing total square feet. It will consist of selective demolition, new Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Low Voltage systems, Security, remove and replace the entire curtain wall systems, specific areas interior buildout with new finishes and site improvements, relocate and acquire new furnishings, Art relocation, remove existing masonry and masonry furring, foundation remediation repairs. The first level of the Central Library are expected to be fully operational throughout the entire renovation. All construction will need to be compliant with all jurisdictional requirements. The City of Houston intends to utilize the Construction Manager at Risk process as authorized in Chapter 2269, Texas Government Code for the above procurement. The Contractor will be selected in a one-step process. The Proposals will be ranked based on the criteria set out in the RFP. After reviewing the Proposals, the City may short-list a maximum of five Proposers that will participate in interviews and presentations before finalizing the rankings. This procurement is subject to the Hire Houston First program as set out in Chapter 15, Article XI, City Code. It is unlawful for any Contractor to contribute or offer any contribution to a candidate for City elective office during a certain period prior to and following a contract award. (Chapter 18, City Code). Contractor will be required to comply with Anti-discrimination provisions (Chapter 15, Article II, City Code), Pay or Play Program (Executive Order 1-7 and Ordinance 2007-0534), and the Minority, Women, Persons with Disabilities and Small Business Enterprise requirements (Chapter 15, Articles V and VI, City Code and Executive Order 1-2).
