The Town of Plainfield is soliciting bids for: 1924 Plainfield High School Demolition Project, 87 Putnam Road, Central Village, Ct. Equal Opportunity/affirmative Action Employer This item shall consist ofthe removal of all buildings and appurtenances in accordance with the Proposal, General Provisions, and the requirements hereinafter set forth. Extent of Removal: All buildings and appurtenances shall be removed to the existing grade level of the lot, and shall include: (A) Existing basement, pit, well or cistern shall be removed to an elevation offour feet (4') below the existing grade and all material remaining shall be removed from the voids to present a neat appearance for inspection, prior to backfilling. Concrete slabs more than four feet (4') below grade shall be broken; all others shall be broken and removed. (C) All drains, sanitary or storm, shall be located and sealed in a manner consistent with the standard of the industry. Contractors shall notify the Water Pollution Control Authority (860.564.3335) so that all pipes and drains may be properly located and recorded for future use. (D) Prior to beginning backfill operations, the contractor shall remove all wood, lath, plaster, or other . deleterious material from area to be filled, and notify the Building Official, who will provide an inspector for preliminary inspection ofthe site, and approval to proceed with backfilling operations as described herein.
