Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Selective building demolition includes, but is not limited to, gas furnaces, water tank and water heaters, kitchen hood, windows, cement asbestos siding, doors, flooring, and concrete floor slab. Building remodel includes a wheelchair lift, resilient flooring, painting, siding, fiberglass storefront windows and doors. Site work includes new roof drain lines, replacement of damaged asphalt paving, pole lights, trees, new pavement striping, concrete pads, and benches. The project site is located within the Tacoma Smelter Plume with sampled arsenic concentrations over 50 ppm. All excavated soils require remediation.
