Liquidated Damages: It is agreed, therefore, that from the compensation otherwise to be paid to the Contractor, the County may retain the sum of $500.00 per calendar day for each day thereafter, Sundays and holidays included, that the Work remains uncompleted. All Bidders are required to submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond with the Bid Form or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities; reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the proposal which best serves the County. Submit all questions about the Drawings and Specifications to the Purchasing Department in writing via facsimile or email (email preferred). Replies will be issued to all bidders of record as Addenda to the Drawings and Specifications and will become part of the Contract. The County will not be responsible for oral clarification.
