Upon completion of slope restoration, jute matting will be installed over areas of slope repair and areas disturbed by construction work or extended limits as directed by the City. Bonded fiber matrix and seed mix shall be applied to the face of the slope, per these Special Provisions and as directed by the City. Where there are trees to be removed, the areas of removal shall be filled in as necessary. Excavated soil shall be used as backfill materials and unsuitable soil shall be hauled off site, upon recommendation of the Geotechnical Engineer. Storm Drainage Improvements: The storm water drainage improvements described herein generally provide for but not limited to: Construction of drainage devices such as the new J-ditch and down drain to redirect existing flow; the removal and disposal of an existing catch basin structure and the installation of a new transition structure to be connected with a new 12 inch RCP pipe to the existing catch basin along the south side of Santa Ana Canyon Road as shown on the construction drawings. Slope repair and storm drainage improvements shall be constructed with the implementation of a Water Pollution Control Program and Best Management Practices; traffic control and safety with the least inconvenience to the public; and all appurtenant work as show on the plans and delineated in the specifications. Other Details For the purposes of bid evaluations and fairness to all bidders, the City will evaluate the Total Base Bid Proposal. The lowest responsible responsive Base Bid bidder will be selected. All bidders shall further understand that the City reserves the right to reject all bids.
