CONSTRUCTION Purchase and nonpersonal services for turnkey installation of AMA Security Fence at the Amarillo Weather Forecast Office (WFO) Texas, 1900 English Road, Amarillo, Texas 79108-7512 Background: This project is for the NOAA, NWS Southern Region, WFO located in Amarillo, Texas. During the Department of Commerce Office of Security Facility Security Assessment, a security fence was recommended around the operational area to ensure the safety to the staff due to the presence of three prison facilities within a 4-mile radius of the WFO and a history of released prisoners ending up on the WFO property and having staff confronted by unknown individuals. Objective: To have a completed 6-foot-tall 9-gauge commercial chain link fence (approximately 1640 foot) with 3 strands of barb wire to provide security around the operational area of the WFO. To provide a 26-foot Canti-Lever motorized roll gate at the front entrance with a 250 Code Entry Device keypad mounted to a gooseneck Pedestal. To install an exit sensor on the exit side of the main gate. To install a manual 20-foot Canti-Lever Roll Gate with all the necessary hardware and accessories on the south side of the Weather Forecast Office. To install lighting to the front entrance gate and a security camera installed for positive identification of personnel and visitors.
