Each Proposal shall be made on a form furnished by the Architect and included within the project manual, and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid price, made payable to the Bellevue Public School District, which shall be considered as liquidated damages, and shall be forfeited to the Bellevue Public School District if said Proposal or Bid is accepted, and the Bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required bond as provided in the specifications. Bid Bond must be executed by a duly licensed corporate surety. Checks accompanying Proposals not accepted shall be returned to the Bidders. The scope of the work included in this project generally consists of the following: 1. Construction of a new front entry addition to the existing Kumor Career Center. 2. Renovation of portions of the building interior to accommodate planned career programs being planned for the facility by the Bellevue School District. That includes upgrades to existing toilet areas to accommodate planned occupancy requirements. 3. Renovation of a portion of the building for inclusion of new offices for the Bellevue Public Schools Foundation, and creation of a public meeting room on an existing upper level floor area. 4. Renovation of certain building elevations to incorporate upgrades on building finishes as noted on the building plans.
