Renovation of a fire / police facility in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The project consists of Fire Alarm Replacement and all miscellaneous work as indicated for the Fire Alarm Replacement at the Mt. Pleasant Glass Centre. Prospective bidders can address all questions to the office of the engineer at (717) 461-3916 attention Mr. Bryan Clement or by contacting the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation directly at (724) 830-3610 attention Ms. Melissa Iarussi. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid for the Fire Alarm Replacement at Mt. Pleasant Glass Centre shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 110% of the contract price, and certificate of insurance prior to the award of the contract. 1. Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable state statutes and regulations including, but not limited to, the Building Energy Conservation Act, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act or the Resident Labor Requirements Act, the Steel Products Procurement Act, the Trade Practices Act, the Public Works Contractor's Bond Act of 1967, and the Flood Plain Management Act. The Contractor must also comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and agrees to minimize pollution and will strictly comply with all applicable related laws and regulations. 2. The Contractor agrees to comply with nondiscrimination/sexual harassment provisions and will include such provisions in all contracts and subcontracts. 3. Contractor must ensure that no Contractor or subcontractor is currently under suspension or debarment by the Commonwealth, any state, or the federal government. 4. Contractor must actively recruit minority and women subcontractors or subcontractors with substantial minority representation among their employees. 5. Contractor and its subcontractors shall furnish progress reports, status reports, project account statements, certificates, approvals, etc. 6. All pertinent records must be maintained by the Contractor and all subcontractors for seven (7) years from the end of the contract. Prime Contractors should use the Directory of Minority, Women and Section 3 Business Enterprises to solicit proposals from potential subcontractors. Work under this contract is subject to the requirements of the PA Prevailing Wage Act. The PA Prevailing Wage Rates applicable to this Contract are included. IMPORTANT: Electronic Contract Documents are for viewing ONLY. No electronic document files are to be provided to contractors for bidding. ALL contractors interested in bidding the project MUST request bid documents directly from H.F. Lenz Company. All requests for information shall be submitted in writing to the office of the Engineer at bclement@hflenz.com and kmuha@hflenz.com on or before 5:00 p.m. local prevailing time June 19, 2023. Requests for information will not be accepted after 5:00 p.m. on June 19, 2023. The WCIDC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the WCIDC for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the Contract. The Contractor shall fully and finally complete all work within 120 calendar days for the work identified. Liquidated damages in the amount of $300.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day that the project is incomplete
