**As of July 7, 2022, project was awarded, the start date would be Early August.** Sealed bids for construction of the improvements. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in a cashiers check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Ellensburg. The engineer's range for the project is between $175,000 and $225,000. The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous items to repair the existing roadway with localized full depth patches; skim patch from 1.5" at the crown to .5" at the edge of the traveled way with 618 tons of HMA; apply 5,238 square yards of fog seal; install pavement markings; perform traffic control; and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete this project. The City of Ellensburg, Washington, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. Responsibility and competency of bidders and their subcontractors will be considered in making the award. All documents received in response to this invitation to bid will become a matter of public record subject to the Washington public disclosure act under chapter 42.56 RCW. The City of Ellensburg, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before the award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
