The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to enter into a contract with a qualified Contractor or Contractors to provide landfill disposal services to be utilized by Brazoria County in the event of a disaster, or at other times if required. If required by the County, all respondents must submit with bid, a Bid Bond for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, if the bid exceeds $100,000 in Contract price or if the Contract includes construction of public work The County plans to contract for these services with sites that are geographically favorable. The landfill services will be used by the County, or its contractor, when personnel are picking up and hauling debris or refuge. Debris or refuge may consist of animal carcasses, construction and demolition dry waste, non-compacted brush, municipal solid waste, household hazardous waste and electronic waste. Brazoria County desires to contract with several landfill service companies located throughout the County and surrounding areas in order to have sites available located closest to the debris. Brazoria County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/offers as it deems in its best interest and to waive any formalities.
