Renovation of a municipal facility in Annapolis, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project shall consist of all labor, equipment, materials, etc., necessary to remove existing rails (and any hardware that was needed to install) in the north and south wing stairwells, install new guard rails, wall mount new handrails, and repair and repaint damaged areas where necessary and as needed. New handrails and guardrails installed shall be in full compliance with all applicable ADA requirements, standards, etc. Carefully review the Department of General Services' Instructions to Bidders for Construction Projects (July 2022) and General Conditions for Construction Contracts (July 2022) which are attached to this solicitation. The deadline for questions has been established as August 23, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m., to ensure that there is enough time to allow for the A/E to provide responses and possible Addendum issuance if necessary All Questions must be submitted, in writing, to the Procurement Officer on or before Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Email subject "QUESTIONS: BA-522-230-002 (Re-Bid) - Replace Interior Stair Rails at The Louis L. Goldstein Treasury Building". PROJECT CLASSIFICATION: "B" MBE Participation (%) 10.00 Project Cost Class B - $100,000 to $500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Prevailing wage rates apply to all contracts in the amount of $250,000 or more. Wage rates applicable to projects of $250,000 or more are attached to the specifications. The work shall be completed within 150 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of 350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions."
