Joe Foss Airport in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will leverage $8.1 million to expand its existing terminal building by 42,000 square feet. The project will enable the airport to increase its capacity, ensuring it can handle ongoing operational needs and requirements. In addition, the airport will rehabilitate the terminal building to meet design standards. __________________________________________________________________________________ The Sioux Falls Regional Airport Concourse Expansion is based on the preferred alternative and recommendations of the Terminal Planning Study. The findings included a phased approach to accommodate a net five additional gates. The base bid will provide a net three additional gates. This expansion will be accomplished through a roughly 70,000 SF concourse expansion encompassing gates, holdrooms, and corresponding passenger boarding bridges. In addition to the gate capacity needs, the airport will also expand their passenger amenities including larger restrooms, family restrooms with an adult changing station, an integrated mothers room, childrens play area, and a reorientation and expansion of the concessions offerings. They include: ABI-1: Expanded Gates and Holdrooms to six total gates (net five with the removal of existing Gate 1) ABI-2: Central Atrium and Hold Areas including the reorientation and expansion of concessions areas ABI-3: Expansion to composure area outside the Security Screening Checkpoint and reorientation of existing Gate 2. The CMAR must be properly licensed to conduct business in the State of South Dakota. Provide evidence that the firm is licensed to do business in the State of South Dakota by providing a copy of the State of South Dakota class A contractors license.
