This project consists of City-wide waterline improvements which include removal and abandonment of existing 2" to 8" (max) waterlines, the installation of new 2" to 8" (max) waterlines by open trenching or horizontal directional drilling, casing, new fire hydrants, valves, fittings, services, pavement repairs, and other miscellaneous items required to complete the project. Work will be executed with multiple indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) delivery orders as required, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Emergency Delivery Orders will include improvements for waterlines up to 16" (max). Each delivery order will stipulate the substantial completion date as shown in the appended example delivery orders. The contract will be for an initial one year (12-calendar months) period, with the option to administratively renew for two (2) additional one year (12-calendar months) periods. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding the project to ensure the accuracy of the reproduction of all Bid Documents and Construction Drawings. This includes, but is not limited to, proper scaling, paper width and length, etc. Failure to do so may result in errors in the Unit Bid Quantities and or Bids Amounts. Sealed Bids may be submitted either (i) electronically or (ii) via a flash drive delivered in a sealed envelope. Bidders are advised to refer to Request for Bids Section 5 of the bidding documents for a list of required bid submittals. Failure to submit or upload all required documents may result in an irregular or non-responsive bid submittal.
