This solicitation is to prepare the site at Grizzly Flats to accommodate temporary buildings. This will entail rough grading the locations for the buildings, tapping into the main waterline, surface lay domestic water to the building locations with the ability to attach to multiple buildings, establish a shore power hookup from the transformer, laying a rough base course to stabilize the roads and parking. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Scope of Work This goal of this project is to prepare the site at Grizzly Flats to accommodate temporary buildings. This will entail rough grading the locations for the buildings, tapping into the main waterline, surface lay domestic water to the building locations with the ability to attach to multiple buildings, establish a shore power hookup from the transformer, laying a rough base course to stabilize the roads and parking. 2.0 Background The Grizzly Flats fire station was destroyed during the Caldor Fire in 2021. The decision was made to rebuild a new station at the location for fire suppression coverage but until it is completed there is a need for temporary facilities. A separate contract will be submitted for the buildings Div 31. Earthwork. The contractor shall clear and grub as needed where the buildings will be placed. The contractor shall perform grading as needed for the site to accommodate the temporary structures (unknown number at this time but plan for up to 3 27'x64' buildings of a mobile home style). This will include placing up to 6000ft sq area of 6-inch compacted 3/4 inch minus gravel surface for the buildings. Div 32. Exterior improvements. The contractor shall stabilize the road up to 300 ft using 4-in deep 3/4 inch minus compacted gravel surface in the existing road prism. The contractor shall also place gravel for personal parking (10 cars) and fire module parking (I Type 3 engine with water tender). Div 33. Utilities. There is currently a PGE transformer at the site and the water main is functional. The contractor shall install equipment such that the buildings (3) can hook up to the shore power.
