The City of Guyton is accepting proposals from qualified vendors to provide roofing repair and replacement on the Guyton Gymnasium. If any questions arise from the RFP, the bidder may submit to Matthew Walker a request for clarification via email ONLY at Matthew.Walker@cityofguyton.com. All questions must be emailed to Matthew.Walker@cityofguyton.com no later than Friday, June 16, 2023, at 4:00 pm. All Proposals shall be clearly marked with "Guyton Gymnasium Roof Repair/Replacement." Immediately following the closing of the RFP, the City Clerk will publicly hold the bid opening at City Hall. Timeline: Work MUST be completed prior to September 14, 2023. Proposals received after the specified time shall not be considered. The Proposals shall remain firm for not less than 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of the Proposal. Bidders guarantee that all goods and services meet the requirements of the solicitation during the contract period. The City Manager will evaluate and rank each Proposal submitted. The City Manager will make a recommendation of the Vendors to the City Council as to the selection ranking of the Vendors. The City of Guyton will select the Vendor that, in the opinion of the City of Guyton, submits the Proposal that offers the best value. The announcement of the selected. Proposal will take place at the Guyton City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 7:00 pm, at the Guyton Gymnasium located at 505 Magnolia Street, Guyton, GA 31312. The Vendor that offers the best value may or may not be the Vendor that submits the lowest Proposal for the cost of construction. The City of Guyton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. There is a 1" tongue and groove wood plank deck under a light gauge metal panel roof. The roof is roughly 109' x 68'.
