As of July 5, 2023, project was awarded to Earle Asphalt Company awarded amount is $773,313.13. The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope: (1) addressed to Yehuda Abraham, Purchasing Department, Lakewood Municipal Building, 231 Third Street, Lakewood, New Jersey 08701, (2) bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and (3) clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid # being bid. The Scope of work for this Contract includes, but is not limited to, road construction, paving, concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway aprons, curb ramps, detectable warning surfaces, curb, pavement striping, tree removal, inlet repairs, retaining walls, installation of inlets and pipes, installation of rain gardens, and site restoration from the Amsterdam Avenue intersection to Massachusetts Avenue. All work on this contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days. The Township intends to award a contract on Thursday, June 15, 2023 and commence work as soon as possible after the contract award. Bids must be on the bid form in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications. NO BIDS ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Contract documents and drawings for the proposed work (the "Contract Documents", which have been prepared by James A. Priolo, PE, PP, CME, CPWM of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design Inc. (DBA Maser Consulting), are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier by making a request to deborah.martinock@collierseng.com. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail addresses. In the email message, the contractor shall indicate if they request an electronic copy (PDF format) or paper copy. Electronic copies will be provided via e-mail at no charge. Paper copies will be sent via UPS or Fedex if the contractor provides UPS or Fedex account information to defray the cost of this shipping method. Otherwise, paper copies will be sent via USPS. The Township of Lakewood reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township of Lakewood.
