This project addresses rehabilitation of Taxiway W, Runway 1R/19L South of Taxiway W, Taxiway S East of 1L and the conversion of Runway 1R/19L South of Taxiway W to a Taxiway. Rehabilitation of this taxiway is required to maintain access to the 128th Wisconsin Air National Guard and to support the removal of the Rwy 1R-19L. MKE will construct this project in future years. This project addresses needs identified in the MKE's master plan and airport layout plan future state. The scope of work includes design for the rehabilitation of Taxiway W, Runway 1R/19L South of Taxiway W, Taxiway S East of 1L and the conversion of Runway 1R/19L South of Taxiway W to a Taxiway. The specific rehabilitation approach is to be finalized in design. 2025 is anticipated construction phase of this project. This work is for the construction phase of the rehabilitation of Taxiway W, Runway 1R/19L South of Taxiway W, Taxiway S East of 1L and the conversion of Runway 1R/19L South of Taxiway W to a Taxiway. As of December 10, 2024, this project is included in the County 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
