Renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Lindsay, Texas. Completed plans call for the expansion of an educational facility.
Project consists of: 29,000 SF New Elementary building with Cafatorium & FEMA Shelter 4,400 SF High School Addition with science lab. Project consists of New 26,000 SF Elementary Cafetorium & Classroom Addition with FEMA storm rooms, a 4,300 SF High School building Addition with Science Lab, renovations to existing restroom facilities, New Parking paving and various site improvements. Major Construction scopes include: Earthwork, Site Utilities, Concrete Foundations and Site Paving, CMU & Masonry Veneers, Structural Steel, Millwork, EIFS Systems, Doors & Frames, Aluminum Storefront, OH Doors, Gyp-Board systems and ACT, Flooring, Painting, Food Service Equipment, Science Lab Casework, Pre-Engineered Metal Building Systems, Fire Sprinkler, Pluming, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Alarm. Please carefully read all bidder instructions contained in the specifications, and submit bid in accordance with prescribed bid packages. The work shall include additions and renovations to each district owner facility including an addition of classrooms and science lab at the high school, renovations to the upper middle school building along with a connecting element to a new cafeteria and early elementary school building and additional streets, paving and traffic patterns to control access on campus. The new cafeteria will house a UIL compliant stage, kitchen, and One Act Play storage. The early elementary area of the new building will include new administrative area for principals, counselors, and nurse, along with a new library, storm shelter and a covered drop-off/pick-up area. The project will be a complete turn key project including subcontractors covering all major division 1-10 and MEP work. Coordination around existing facilities, ISD activities/testing schedules, and students will be required. Responsibility of the CMaR will include cost estimating, procurement, scheduling, and coordination between all construction, the Owner, and the Architect. Construction is expected to start July 2024 and take approximately 18 months to complete. Project is Non -taxable. Project is subject to prevailing wages, see spec section 08100.
