Renovation of a municipal facility in Potsdam, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Leroy St SOIRA Generator Design and Installation This project consists of the installation of a whole house generator. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings supplied. All questions or requests for information shall be submitted, in writing to Mark.g.woods@opwdd.ny.gov. 1. Vendor to furnish new Generac 25KW 120/240V single phase natural gas generator (including block heater) and Generac 400 Amp ATS (service entrance rated). 2. Contractor shall install generator, ATS, and all accessories EXCLUDING block heater. Reference Generac installation manual for all installation details. 3. The contractor will arrange for and fund a factory representative to install the block heater and perform the generator start-up. Contractor shall assist during generator start-up as needed. 4. Contractor shall make all final connections to all control and owner-supplied equipment as required. 5. Wiring shall be type THWN or THW unless otherwise noted on applicable drawings. 6. Provide control wiring as per manufacturer recommendation. 7. Provide electrical system grounding in accordance with the NEC and all applicable local codes. 8. All generator related conduits passing through walls or foundations are to be appropriately sleeved and sealed. Any existing penetrations shall also be sealed. 9. All indoor boxes and enclosures shall be NEMA 250 Type 1. 10.Provide all necessary signage and labels as required by code. 11.All indoor conduits shall be EMT. All outdoor conduits shall be galvanized steel rigid metal conduit. 12.Coordinate electrical and natural gas work with service providers, ensuring all requirements and standards are met. 13.Contractor shall be responsible for recording conduit paths and sizes in shop drawings and as-builts. 14.Electrical contractor shall verify field conditions prior to submitting bid. 15.Electrical contractor shall obtain and pay for both rough and final underwrites or other approved inspection agency certificates of electrical inspection. These certificates shall be presented prior to request for final payment. 16.The design shall be based on initial site visit data. Electrical contractor to supply install feeders, fuses and C.B. to match the name plate rating of all equipment. This shall be included in the initial bid proposal and no extras shall be entertained. 17.Prior to digging contractor shall notify Dig Safe New York in accordance with New York State Law and determine locations of all utilities. Provide 72 hour noticed in advance to 1-800-962-7962, coordinate all digging with owner representatives. 18.At utility crossings-Excavate trench with caution at these locations. The contractor will be responsible for repairing any damaged utilities and landscaping. 19.All indoor conduits shall be EMT. Underground conduit shall be PVC schedule 80 and burial depth shall be 18" per NEC table 300.5. 20.Contractor shall provide NEMA 3R waterproof junction box of the exterior wall of the building. 21.Provide 6" thick concrete pad for standby generator. Concrete pad shall be 6" wider and 6" longer than the generator weatherproof enclosure. 22.Contractor to coordinate locations of all utilities with utility provider. Locations shown are approximate and have been plotted. 23.Contractor to coordinate with utility provider to install the appropriate gas meter and any feed associated with upsizing the meter are the contractor's responsibility.
