Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Browns Valley, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and educational facility.

General work description: Work will primarily include installation of curb, gutter, sidewalk, ADA ramps, bike lanes, striping, and traffic control devices in the community of West Linda, California, encompassing the grid of streets comprised of: Arboga Road, Alicia Avenue, Cottonwood Ave, Feather River Boulevard, Grand Avenue, Jay Avenue, and Vine Avenue. The project will extend no further than Feather River Boulevard to the West, Highway 70 to the Northeast, Island Avenue to the South, and Pasado Road to the Southeast. Associated road rehabilitation, including grading for drainage, improvements associated with drainage, storm drain, as well as new striping, will also be accounted for in the proposal. The professional preliminary engineering and construction support services requested will pertain to a comprehensive road improvement project, under the auspices of the California Active Transportation Program (ATP). his project will be funded by state and local funds, a majority of which will be from the state's ATP grant. This project will provide safer communities by enabling pedestrians to commute on sidewalks and bike lanes where they currently don't exist, and by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Construction is expected for 2026/2027 and is anticipated to be 2 years long. Design of plans, specifications, and estimate should plan for the project to be phased appropriately. Proposals for West Linda Comprehensive Safe Routes to School Project - Preliminary Engineering and Construction Support shall be submitted electronically via OpenGov to Yuba County prior to 4:00 P.M. on June 16, 2023.
