Site work and remodeling of a civil project in Treynor, Iowa. Completed plans call for the remodel of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Wastewater treatment facility improvements that include remodeling and expanding the existing blower building, new aeration blowers, desludging of the existing lagoon cells and land application of the removed sludge, modification of the existing lagoon cells to convert them to covered lagoon cells with new aeration equipment, construction of a new three train polishing reactor structure, construction of an ultraviolet disinfection system, construction of a standby generator and automatic transfer switch, site grading, and construction of various site piping, manholes, and appurtenances. Est. Value: $ 6,380,000.00 Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Chapter 26, Section 26.8, and as specified by the City of Treynor, in the amount of 5% of the bid, as fixed in the Instructions to Bidders. The work shall commence on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially complete on or before December 31, 2024 and completed and ready for final payment on or before May 31, 2025. Should the Contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $750.00 per calendar day for substantial completion and $500.00 per calendar day for final completion will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract terms.
