Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Grand Junction, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Reference Number 0000321649 Colorado Mesa University (CMU) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors interested in providing construction services for the installation of new Recycled Asphalt Pavement parking lots at its main campus in Grand Junction, CO. The scope of work includes clearing and grubbing, abandoning water and sewer services at the main in accordance with City of Grand Junction standards, razing existing homes and outbuildings, removing foundations systems, concrete and asphalt pavement, back filing foundations with Class-3 Aggregate Base Course, placing a 4" thick layer of Recycled Asphalt Pavement, installing owner finished rubber bumper blocks, applying Magnesium Chloride as a dust palliative, and patching city streets and concrete alleys. Colorado Mesa University will raze or relocate the following homes over the summer: 845 Kennedy Ave. 855 Kennedy Ave. 865 Kennedy Ave. (CMU won't close on this home until July 1, 2023) 763 Glenwood Ave. 749 Orchard Ave. 1801 N. 8th Street (home will be moved off-site) Work has already begun to test for Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in each of the homes listed above. Homes where ACH is detected will require abatement. All abatement work will be handled outside this contract. Homes cannot be razed until CMU has a demolition permit in hand from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). CMU anticipates having all permits in hand on or before Monday, July 3, 2023. CMU will submit requests to Xcel Energy and Lumen to remove all overhead utilities, decommission the gas service, and remove the gas meter prior to the start of demolition work. All work necessary to raze each home and remove all below grade foundation and building materials before placing a 4" thick layer of Recycled Asphalt Pavement and owner provided rubber bumper blocks must be completed prior to the start of the fall semester on Monday, August 21, 2023.
