The City seeks a qualified General Contractor for construction services for the Jack Hamilton Arena located at 1010 McCarthy Blvd and Jack Staples Arena located at 444 N Broad Street, Regina. The scope of work at each arena includes, but it is not limited to: - Removal and replacement of the existing sand bed and refrigeration lines throughout the ice field. - Installation of new sand bed (base price) - Installation of new concrete ice slab (alternate price) - Selective interior demolition - Replacement of the arena dasher boards, plexiglass and netting system around the ice surface. - New spectator's bleachers including accessibility seating. - Renovation of the lobby and change room areas. - Construction of the ice plant room vestibule and ammonia monitoring/detection equipment and alarm system. - Removal of the following auction/salvage items: existing dasher boards and support posts, glass, netting, spectator benches and its supporting structure, lobby benches and dressing room benches. - Facilitation for site access for pick up of auction items as noted in Section 01 11 00 Summary of Work. The work at Hamilton Arena must be completed by December 21, 2023 in order for regular programming to take place within arena on January 2, 2024. The work at Staples Arena must be completed by December 19, 2024 in order for regular programming to take place within arena on January 2, 2025.
