**As of August 8, 2023, project was awarded to ISN Global Enterprises but awarded amount is not available.** The City of Ventura is a coastal community located just north of Los Angeles County and south of Santa Barbara County and is frequently considered one of America s most desirable places to live. The City is a full-service municipality, providing police and fire services, parks and recreation, public works, and community development in addition to water treatment and distribution, storm water processing, and wastewater management. The City employs nearly 700 employees, boasts a population of 110,000 residents within its 32 square miles which includes 32 parks and historic sites, and more than 800 acres of open green space. The City operates under its own charter with the City Council/City Manager form of government comprised of seven members elected by district for terms of four years. The City Council hires two of the principal officials of the City, the City Manager and the City Attorney. A bid deposit in an amount equal to at least 10% of the bid may be required as a bid security by the City. The bid security may only be in cash, a cashier s check, a certified check made payable to the City, or a bid bond. If required, the Bidder will furnish the City with a surety bond conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract. This may take the form of a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of California and approved by the City, an endorsed Certificate of Deposit, or a money order or a certified check drawn on a solvent bank. The bond shall be in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract price. Such bond or deposit shall be forfeited to the City in the event that bidder receiving the contract shall fail or refuse to ful fill the requirements and all terms and conditions of the contract.
