Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Huntington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 39,147-square-foot educational facility.
A. The Work of this Project will be conducted under a single General Trades Contract which will include all work of this project. B. This project consists of construction of a new one-story elementary school building and site improvements featuring classrooms, reading area, commercial kitchen and dining area, multipurpose room, administrative office areas, mechanical equipment and custodial areas. C. Construction features the following: 1. Concrete floor slab on grade and concrete foundations. 2. Perimeter walls constructed of insulated cavity masonry walls with face brick cavity wall construction as indicated on Drawings. 3. Interior partition walls constructed of painted CMU and painted gypsum board over metal framing 4. Suspended acoustical panel ceilings as indicated on Drawings. 5. Single-ply membrane roofing over roof insulation over steel roof decking supported on steel joist framing. 6. Standing seam metal roofing in areas where indicated on Drawings. 7. Aluminum storefront-framed openings and entrances. 8. Flush wood doors and steel doors in steel door frames. 9. Interior finishes as indicated. 10. Plumbing, mechanical, fire-protection, and electrical work as indicated. This project calls for a new elementary school.
