This project consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install a concrete water control structure with flap gates in Jefferson Canal and all other incidental work at the above referenced location within Iberia Parish. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond acceptable to the Owner in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and payable without condition to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with all terms and conditions of the Contract Documents Questions about this procedure shall be directed to the Architect/Engineer. No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. B. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Architect or Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Architect or Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda transmitted by acceptable means in accordance with State bid laws to all parties recorded by as having received the Bidding Documents. Only answers to questions by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. C. Addenda may also be issued to modify the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Architect or Engineer. D. No Addenda will be issued within seventy-two (72) hours of the advertised bid time, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, without extending the bid period for at least seven (7), but not more than twenty-one (21) working days.
