Renovation of an educational facility in Grayling, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
One bid submitted for this project from Fisher Tracks, Inc. in the amount of $181,316. The Board is approved on Monday, 6/26. The work is expected to start very soon with a completion date in August. The project shall consist of removing the existing track surface including the high jump and long/triple runways. Down pressure on buckets, loaders, or road graders in not allowed with the removal process. Every effort is made to mitigate any potential damage to the existing base. The existing asphalt shall then be surfaced with the specified resilient rubber surfacing and the color-coded metric striping applied. The track will be inspected and thoroughly walked over by the Contractor along with a representative from Crawford AuSable School District and repaired accordingly to provide a quality finished product. Cracks will be cleaned and filled and any small areas of degradation of asphalt will be addressed as well. The track will then be cleaned and primed prior to the installation of the surface.
