The Shepherd Independent School District ("SISD" or the "District") is seeking businesses that can provide equipment, supplies and/or services which can be utilized by our Custodial Department. All valid responses, received by the proposal deadline, will be accepted. This proposal does not ask for individual pricing on specific items. Purchases will be made on an as-needed basis. The estimated value of equipment, supplies and/or services purchased annually is between $50,000 and $150,000. Shepherd ISD is located 60 miles north of Houston on Interstate 69. SISD covers an area of approximately 200 square miles in San Jacinto County. SISD currently has one (1) High School, one (1) Middle School, one (1) Intermediate School and one (1) Primary School. Any questions concerning this proposal should be submitted via e-mail to the Chief Financial Officer no later than 5 days prior to the bid opening at purchasing@shepherdisd.net . Contracts created by this Solicitation shall be in effect from the date of award through July 29, 2024 and will automatically be extended for two (2) years, unless either party provides notification not to renew ninety (90) days prior to renewal. During this time, a supplemental proposal may be solicited to add additional vendors to this category. At that time, you will not be required to submit a new bid unless your pricing will change. SISD, may at its sole option, extend this bid for an additional sixty (60) days from the date of expiration, under the same pricing and terms and conditions if it is determined by the District that additional time is required to avoid a contract lapse. Vendor(s) must meet all bonding requirements dictated by Texas law. Prior to commencement of work hereunder, contractors will, if the Contract Price exceeds $25,000.00, provide an Acceptable Surety Company Payment Bond and if the contract price exceeds $100,000.00 provide an Acceptable Surety Company Performance Bond, each in principal amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price The contractor will faithfully perform all its undertakings in this contract and will fully pay all persons furnishing labor and material in the prosecution of the work provided for in the contract. If any surety upon any bond becomes insolvent or otherwise ceases to do business in the State, the contractor shall promptly furnish equivalent security to protect the interests of Shepherd ISD and of persons furnishing labor and materials in the prosecution of the work. Shepherd Independent School District reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to award contracts for individual products or services as may appear advantageous, and to negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve the best interest of the District.
