Reference Number 0000321857 Questions are submitted online No Question Acceptance Deadline 06/29/2023 10:00 AM EDT REMSEN AVENUE CURB ANDSIDEWALKS Should you have any questions, please submit in writing or via electronic mail to Edward Moran, Project Engineer, at 16 Pioneer Avenue, Tallman, NY 10982, MoranE@ramapo-ny.gov The work to be performed under this contract consists of the construction of new curbs, sidewalks, and drainage improvements along the east and west sides of Remsen Avenue between the north side of Hilda Lane and the south side of Mountain Avenue. A careful field inspection of the conditions at the job site is required, since there are a number of hedges, trees, signs, catch basins, driveways, etc. which will affect the work. It is emphasized that the only pay items are those shown in the Bidder's Proposal, and any time delays and problems caused by field conditions are to be anticipated and accounted for within the pay items provided. Excavation and grading will be uneven in nature. The Contractor is required to grade from outer edge of sidewalk to the existing right-of-way line at a maximum slope of 1 V: 2H where applicable. Restoration work is included in the item for Maintenance and Protection of Traffic and Restoration. Any debris removed as part of the work must be disposed of by the Contractor at his expense. The excess soil may be taken to a designated site in Ramapo at no tipping cost, provided that prior arrangements have been made through the Department of Public Works. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the means, manpower, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures of construction unless specifically identified in the Contract Documents.
