Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This contract is for the removal and disposal of a 120 ft condemned glulam bridge across the Little Nitnat River which is to the North of Nitinat Lake on Vancouver Island. The project will entail: creating a detailed demolition plan signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer. develop an Environmental Management Plan with a biologist provided by the Ministry. build an excavator trail for a wet crossing. removal and disposal of bridge structure and components. removal of crib walls and spoil of excavated material to an approved site recontour slope of bridge crib walls and abutment locations apply and/or install erosion protection on recontoured slopes. rehab excavator trail / wet crossing The work is required to be carried out during the Fish Window from August 15th to September 15th.
