The University is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to perform work to mill and repave the Parking Lots at its East Campus Complex (EC) and its Admission House (AD) parking lots. Also included is parking lot striping and thermoplastic work. Other minor repairs and maintenance items are also noted on the Project Bid Documents. Salisbury University is bidding work to mill and repave the Parking Lots at its East Campus Complex (EC) and its Admission House (AD) parking lots. The work will be phased into four parts (two phases for each parking lot) to allow for portions of each parking lot to be open for use by University staff at all times. Refer to the Drawings for phasing. B. Provide alternate pricing as listed and indicated in the contract documents. Alternates are to include the work to be done under this project consisting of furnishing all labor and materials, supervision, equipment and other services necessary for and/or incidental to the demolition and new work as outlined on the Drawings and as listed in Section 1.4 "General Requirements". It includes, but is not limited to, the following: a. ALTERNATE No. 1 None at this time 1.2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A. Provisions contained in this section apply to each section of the specifications. B. Contractor shall at all times enforce strict discipline and good order among their workmen and shall not employ on the work any unfit person or anyone not skilled in the work assigned to him. C. The Contractor is solely responsible for construction means and methods, and for the safety of its workers. The Contractor shall be responsible for all safety measures, including pedestrian and vehicle barriers, staging areas, shoring, and all OSHA and other applicable regulations, including fall protection measures prescribed on OSHA. D. The Contractor shall restore all areas, such as grass and lawn areas with sod, drives, walks, etc. damaged by vehicles, pedestrian traffic or the construction process to the condition prior to construction. Document pre-construction conditions with photos, video, and written paragraphs of description and place a copy on file with the Owner prior to the start of construction. E. The Contractor is solely responsible for acceptance of shipments and getting materials on-site. Shipments shall not be sent to the Salisbury University address. F.
