As of January 12, 2024, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The project requires the removal of approximately 600 cubic yards (cy) of sediment and debris located in the dam forebay area. The estimated size of the in-stream work area is about 5,000 square feet (measuring 120 feet by 42 feet), as shown in Figure 1, which represents the excavation impact area. The primary focus of the removal efforts will be directed towards specific areas, namely the area upstream of the dam, intake screens, and the large gravel bar located upstream of the dam. It is essential to remove as much of the gravel bar as possible down to bed rock within the designated four (4) day work period. The removal of debris will involve the use of an in-stream bulldozer, excavator, which will place the material onto a conveyor system. Alternatively, an approved contractor method, such as a crane, may be utilized. The conveyor will then transfer the material onto dump trucks for transportation offsite to an approved location for upland disposal.
