Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tinley Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Scope of Work Contractor shall supply all material and labor necessary to complete and repair the following project. Project Location PROJECT 1; Pottawattomie Park - 9128 178th Street A. Replace bench seating pads at locations along pathway PROJECT 2; McCarthy Park (Jaycee Grove) - 16801 S. 80th Avenue A. Add new pads and connections for Bag Toss Game PROJECT 3; Vogt Woods - 6527 W 171st Street A. Add new pads and connections for Bag Toss Game PROJECT 4; Vogt Visual Arts Center - 17420 S. 67th Court A. Add new pads and access for bench seating ALTERNATE 1; Tharp Park - 7800 Park Central Drive A. Add new pads for bench seating ALTERNATE 2; Community Park (White Water Canyon Water Park) - 8221 W 171st Street A. Add new pads and connections for Bag Toss Game ALTERNATE 3; Centennial Park - 7601 167th Street A. Add new pads for bench seating Location Map o Maps of the locations have been included with the bid documents. The highlighted portions or marked areas of the maps indicate project repair locations. Pricing Information o It is the intent of the district to complete this project as a whole, however if for any reason pricing exceeds the budget for this project, the pricing information sheet is to be used as a per park-site price with sites to be chosen for completion by the district. Measurements and Allowances (All Sections) o Contractor will be responsible for their own measurements of square footage and linear footage at all site areas. o Approximations of measurements are made for reference only. o Contractor is responsible for all materials needed to complete the project and is to figure all quantity and materials into the bid price. Removal and Disposal (All Sections) o All existing materials to be removed from the site are to be recycled if possible and or legally disposed of per applicable law. o Surplus soil, unsuitable topsoil, obstructions, demolished material and waste including trash and debris, or any other materials are also to be removed and disposed of per applicable law. o All materials to be removed become property of the contractor. TINLEY PARK-PARK DISTRICT CONCRETE PAD INSTALLATION PROJECT CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS (Continued) TPPD-23-CPIP Scheduling o Contractor is to work with the park district to determine best schedule time for work completion and to have minimal impact to district events and activities. ADA Compliancy (All Sections) o All finished pavement must meet current ADA law requirements pursuant to the Illinois Accessibility Code as well as current Title 2 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. o Finished product must not exceed the following thresholds. No allowances will be made. Cross slope of the pathway must not exceed 2% (two percent). Running slope of the pathway must not exceed 5% (five percent). o Slopes should be checked and verified with the Superintendent of Parks immediately after final stone compaction and AGAIN immediately after the pavement is compacted. o A "smart" level or equivalent measuring device should be used to calculate and check these slopes. Restoration (All Sections) As Needed o The District will be responsible for restoration for the repair of the sides of the pad project areas and allotments are not needed for this project, however, the contractor is to allow for all needed restoration from damage caused by crews on the project site. Examples may include truck turn around areas and passing, or transporting through the site. o It is solely up to the contractor to determine the best means of transporting materials to the project areas however it is not advised that large heavy equipment be used. o It is solely the contractor's responsibility to mark construction boundaries and repair any areas damaged or used by his crew. If restoration is needed, the following specifications are to be used. This includes turf and existing paved areas. Topsoil (All Sections) Restoration As Needed o All disturbed areas are to be repaired to grade using pulverized topsoil. Erosion Control Blanket (All Sections) Restoration As Needed o Contractor shall apply Excel R-1 Singlenet Excelsior-Regular (or equal) erosion control blanket over all seeded areas. One staple is to be installed on center every 24". Seed Work (All Sections) Restoration As Needed o The following blend or approved equal is to be used at recommended seeding rates: 20% Nublue Kentucky Bluegrass 20% Kentucky Bluegrass Geronimo 20% Accent Perennial Ryegrass 20% APM Perennial Ryegrass 20% Covenant Tall Fescue All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier's check payable to the Tinley Park-Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check.
